Dennis Martire

Born in 1964, Dennis Martire grew up to attend West Virginia Wesleyan College. He graduated from there in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in government. He was also a member of his Local Union #1058 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At a young age, Martire could not have known that his career would become focused on those unions and fighting for workers across the mid-Atlantic area. But that is exactly what happened.

Dennis Martire joined the Laborers’ International Union of North America in April 1990 as an international representative for the organization’s jurisdictional disputes department. And from there, his career advanced significantly as he fought for the rights of workers. In 2002, Martire was elected vice president and regional manager for the mid-Atlantic region following two years as the assistant regional manager. Today, he continues to work tirelessly for the rights of laborers within his role at LIUNA.
